Responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring the health care of and overseeing the assessment of individuals with developmental and other disabilities served by the Michael Dunn Center. Supervise licensed (LPN's) and non-licensed (Direct Support Professionals) staff, and foster a work environment consistent with our service recipients' mission. Maintain communications regarding health related issues within the agency as well as direct communications with the Department of Mental Retardation Services and the Department of Health.

Experience: MDC: 8 Years
3 years Critical Care, Step-down and telemetry

Education: Associate of Nursing from Roane State Community College, Graduated top 3% of class

Goals for your department or the agency in general:
Provide the best proactive healthcare to all the individuals served at MDC.

Accomplishments/ Successes regarding serving individuals with disabilities: There have been so many accomplishments that have been the effort of teamwork by not only the nursing department, but other entities within the Michael Dunn Center. Together we have seen significant improvement in the health status of individuals served by MDC.

Needs: Clinic Space, Equipment for Clinic, (disposable & durable medical), office space

Obstacles to providing the level of service you want to provide: Limited space and equipment.
